Shalam, there are many people who love the things in this world and are friends with the world. It is important to know the god of this world wants you to serve him so you can be pulled away from the Most High God who loves you. Majority of the people must understand that its OK to want something, but its another thing to love something, the majority of the people in the world love the things in it and that's why they have no understanding of the Most High God. I will show you through scripture and precepts that its not good to love the things in this world, but to love the Most High God and keep his commandments as he has instructed us to do so.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Friend - 1. Make friends to become friendly (with).
2. An archaic word for to befriend.
Befriend - to make friends or become friendly with; act as a friend to; help; aid.

Enmity - A feeling of hostility or ill will, as between enemies; antagonism.

Enemy - A person who feels hatred for, fosters harmful designs against, or engages in antagonistic activities against another; an adversary or opponent.

Lovers of the World
Matthew 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Treasures - 1. Wealth, rich materials, or valuable things.
2. To regard or treat as precious; cherish.

Precepts to Matthew 6:19:
Proverbs 23:4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.

1 Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God,
who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Precepts to Matthew 6:20:
Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Luke 12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

1 Timothy 6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

(We are instructed to not lay treasure upon earth, but in heaven. You see when you see a man laying up treasure here on earth one must understand that there is where his heart is, like verse 21 says. Our wealth must be consecrated to The Most High God and used as his work demands. Wealth used for doing good is treasure laid up in heaven.)

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Conformed - 1. To act in accordance or harmony; comply.
2. To act in accord with the prevailing standards, attitudes, practices, etc., of society or a group.

Precepts to Romans 12:2:
John 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

Galatians 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

1 Peter 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

(Scriptures tells us to be not conformed to the things who this world, meaning we are not suppose to follow the custom of this world, neither in judgment, spirit, nor behaviour, because as scriptures has told us that "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" 1 Corinthians 3:19.)

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Affection - 1. Emotion, feeling, or sentiment:
2. Fond attachment, devotion, or love.

(We are to set our affection on things above which is the kingdom of Heaven, and not on things here on earth. Read Matthew 6:19-20 to see why.)

1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Love - To have a strong liking for; take great pleasure in.

Precepts to 1 John 2:15:
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Precept to 1 John 2:16:
Ecclesiastes 5:11 When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding
of them with their eyes?

Precepts to 1 John 2:17:
Psalms 125:1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Proverbs 10:25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

(We are to not love this world, neither the things in it. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. We must overcome the world, like the Messiah did, if we love this world the love of the Father isnt in us. This world is sinful and is given into the hand of the wicked.)

What will happen to those who love this world?
Mark 4:18-19 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Precepts to Mark 4:19:
Psalms 52:7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

Proverbs 23:5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

Ecclesiastes 5:13 There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.

Luke 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

Acts 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

1 Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and
perdition.

Titus 1:11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

(Those who love this present world and are friends with it you wont be able to retain the Most High God words that's why in verse 19 it said "the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful." )

Mark 8:36-37 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

(All those who love this world will ultimately end of selling their souls to the devil/satan who is the god of this world. People sell there soul for fame wealth just about anything that they desire. That's why in verse 36 it says "for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Once you lose your soul you become dark, your appearance do and the people you hang around.")

1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Foolishness - 1. Unwise; silly.
2. Weak-minded; simple.
3. An archaic word for insignificant .
Insignificant - Without meaning; meaningless.

Precept to 1 Corithians 3:19:
Job 5:13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.

(Those who love this world will become foolish, because the wisdom of this world is foolishness, meaning you start to act like the world and that is against the Most High.)

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Precept to 2 Corinthians 4:3:
Isaiah 6:9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

Precept to 2 Corinthians 4:4:
John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Ephesians 16:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Isaiah 6:10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Matthew 13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

Zechariah 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

(If you love this world are friends with this world you understanding and knowlegde of the Most High God will be hid lost. You will be in a deep sleep, because the god of this world which is satan has blinded your mind because you dont believe in the truth (KJV Biible) nor do you belive on his Son (Messiah) or the Father. What people must understand is that the enemy satan knows the truth, but with confuse you to lead you away from it, dont be decieved people put on the whole armor of the Most High God.)

Precepts to James 4:4:
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world,
therefore the world hateth you.

Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of
Christ.

(All those who are friennds with this world and love this wicked world are enemies with the Mots High, repent and serve the Most HIgh God of Israel for time is short.)

Who is the god of this present World?
Job 9:24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?

Precepts to Job 9:24:
2 Samuel 15:30 And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.

Jeremiah 14:4 Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.

(As we have just read that the earth is given into the hand of the wicked. The people who run this world or control this world are wicked and they answer to satan which is their god and the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4).)

Conclusion
The conclusion to this study lesson is to people know that you cant be conformed to the things of this world nor can you love the things of this world. To many of us tend to try to hold on things in this world, not knowing that is where your heart is, which is here on earth. Things come and go but people will hold on to things, some things just ain't meant to be. let it go and store up treasure in heaven not on earth, with that being said I leave you all with this scripture.

1 Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Precept to 1 Timothy 6:7:
Ecclesiastes 5:15 As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
